Aquatic Life Bulkheads feature threaded connections on the inside of the face-end, with slip fittings on the opposite end. The rubber bushing always goes on the "wet" side of the tank or reservoir for a proper seal. Threaded pipes or fittings require Teflon tape in between the joint to ensure a water tight seal.
